Educación universitaria en Suiza
En el nivel de la enseñanza terciaria, Suiza está implementando reformas para cumplir los requisitos de la Declaración de Boloña, que ha sido firmada junto con otros 31 países en 1999. El objetivo consiste en crear un solo “espacio europeo para la enseñanza superior” con la generalización del sistema anglosajón, que se compone de dos grados universitarios: el “bachelor” -que es el equivalente a la licenciatura- y el máster -que es el equivalente a la licenciatura con tesina, es decir el curso subsiguiente que permite al licenciado especializarse en un determinado campo científico-.

“ Few seem to be aware of this, but many of the engineering feats accomplished by Google come out of its Australian offices in Sydney. In fact, the armchair voyeur’s favourite, Google Maps, is based on mapping technology built by an Australian start-up, Where2, which Google acquired in 2004. Since then, much of the development for Google Maps has been driven by Google’s huge Australian engineering team. Most recent is the new Google Maps Traffic feature, which overlays the road maps with current information on traffic conditions. The goal was to make it easier for users to plan their trips and select optimal routes. Google Australia’s Carl Sjogreen and David Wang led the global engineering team that developed the feature.
